Treasure Island Resort
Treasure Island Resort is a classic medium sized resort hotel situated right on Baloy Beach, Subic Bay Philippines. I call it a classic resort because in so many ways it epitomizes the type of resorts in Subic. This is not a plush expensive upmarket tropical resort, but rather I would describe it as a medium priced resort situated right on the beach and incorporating a range of rooms from low priced basic rooms through to the more expensive suite rooms.

One thing about this resort is that it represents a lifestyle as much as it does an accommodation venue. Life here moves slowly and a stay here always means a high level of relaxation.

The hotel bar

This is a laid back scene where people come to relax and unwind letting the problems of their everyday existence slowly drift away in the gentle breeze blowing off the bay.

Life here revolves around the famous Treasure Island pool and the Treasure Island bar which serves a wide range of refreshing drinks and some delicious food dishes. The swimming pool is circular shaped and features splendid views of the beach and Subic Bay. There really is something to be said for lounging in the sparkling blue and cool waters of the swimming pool while gazing out along the beach or reveling in the splendid panoramic views of Subic Bay. Little moments like this are in my opinion what make ones trip to Subic truly memorable and when it comes to sublime views of Subic Bay, Treasure Island stands alone.

The pool is surrounded by a lush tropical courtyard which features tables chairs and of course lounge chairs which allow occupants to recline and enjoy their surroundings. Most of the tables are under the cover of large beach umbrellas and you will often find people wiling away their days reveling in the relaxed tropical ambiance far removed from the worries of the everyday world.

The swimming pool and surrounding courtyard are tremendously popular as hotel guests and local expats mingle together and create a relaxed social scene that is uniquely Subic.

Acting as the central hub of the outside courtyard is the bar area. This wet bar serves a wide range of tropical drinks and arguably the best shakes in Subic. There is also a large menu featuring an extensive range of food dishes all large servings and realistically priced. The bar also features 2 LCD TVs showing sports till late and first run movies till dawn. The bar features one of the widest selections of spirits and mixed drinks available anywhere in Subic. It also boasts 2 slush machines which are used to produce the famous frozen margaritas and strawberry daiquiris.

The most important aspect of any hotel is the rooms. The rooms at Treasure Island are in my opinion basic yet functional and of course competitively priced. These are not super luxurious high priced rooms but rather they are medium priced functional rooms which incorporate all the basic mod cons and best of all they are all literally moments stroll away from the beach.
Treasure Island Resort, Subic Bay, Philippines, has 14 deluxe rooms. 5 pool-front, 1 family room and 8 spacious double rooms.

There are 28 rooms in this hotel and they include the Standard room for 1700 piso a night, the Deluxe Room for 2200 piso a night, the Beach Front Deluxe for 3,100 piso a night, the Family room for 3,100 piso a night, the ocean view room for 3,100 a night and the impressive suite room for 4,300 a night. All these

Rooms incorporate double to queen size beds, air-conditioning systems, stand alone fans, cable television, minibar, hot and cold water showers and in room safety deposit box. All rooms are within walking distance of the beach and all can avail of 24 hour room service. As I have said previously these rooms are basic but they provide all the mod cons one might require without being plush and luxurious. The strength of these rooms is that they manage to capture and at the same time create that unique relaxed ambiance that permeates throughout this resort.

One distinct advantage of Treasure Island is it's location. It is situated right besides the beach and the views it offers of Subic Bay are possibly the best in the entire area. This is a laid back venue where life moves slowly and peacefully. It is not super luxurious or five star plush but it is a good basic beach side resort and best of all it offers a 10% discount for all Subic Rocks members.
