In this hotel the emphasis is on the word grand. From the outside this is an imposing building being painted a brilliant white and because of its size and location it can be seen from miles around. From the distinctive entrance and impressive lobby through to the modern comfortable rooms and awesome swimming pool in a lush tropical garden setting this hotel symbolizes modern elegance, comfort and efficiency all at very reasonable prices.

Lewis the hotels owner is a dynamic and enterprising young man and when asked what makes his hotel stand out from its competitors he replied "my hotel charges the same price as my competitors yet my rooms are bigger with more room and more modern appointments." All rooms come complete with a king size bed, (some even have a Hollywood size bed) built in plasma screen TV, carpet on the floors, large bathrooms with rain water showers and proper American size bathrobes.

In any hotel the most important factor is the rooms and this is where the Lewis Grand comes into its own. The rooms here are all large and spacious the beds are comfortable they have carpet on the floor and all have large plasma screen televisions, individaul DVD player, heavy drapes to shield out unwanted light, and sound, a decent sized fridge and mini bar, subtle soft lighting, tasteful decorations and color schemes, large bathrooms with deep bath tubs and rain water showers. Most of the rooms have balconies overlooking the swimming pool and these become the perfect area to relax in while you watch the world go by, enjoy private thoughts or experience a valuable moment of intimacy amongst the plush splendor that is the Lewis Grand. There are no rooms facing the street.

One thing I really like about the Lewis Grand is the fact that they have a very liberal approach to their swimming pool area. They do not charge people for the privilege of swimming there and in fact actively encourage non hotel guests to enjoy their pool. The pool is also the perfect venue for pool parties and there have been some mega events conducted here much to AE members enjoyment. The hotel has a general impression of modern grandness from the impressive and spacious lobby through to the large rooms with modern fittings and the awesome swimming pool in a delightful tropical garden setting. Another strong point of this hotel is it’s open air restaurant which offers a range of delicious meals which can be enjoyed in the restaurant whilst overlooking the garden and swimming pool. The Lewis Grand employs a regular fleet of vans which can deliver and pick up guests from anywhere in Fields Avenue and it also affords easy access to the majority of Perimeter Road bars. Last but by certainly no means least the Lewis Grand is very popular with the girls who love to stay there.

As I have said before the most important aspect of any hotel is its rooms and this is where the Lewis Grand comes into its own. The deluxe suites which serve as the basic room are reasonably priced at 3,450 piso per night (for AE members" Pesos 3'105)and they are large including rain water shower, bath tub, excellent air conditioning, a king size bed, large flat screen TV, (all TV' s have digital Cable new format, with clearer picture), plush drapes that ensure privacy if so desired, carpeting on the floor, fully stocked mini bar WiFi access and modern amenities which make these rooms excellent value for money.

One of the room types I really like at the LGH are the poolside Jacuzzi rooms. These rooms have a large comfortable bed, plasma screen TV's, chest of drawers and writing table, a large bathroom with a Jacuzzi, a little balcony which leads into the tropical garden and of course they are literally right next to the swimming pool. There is something to be said for stumbling out of your air conditioned hotel room and just falling into a sparkling blue swimming pool. Being so close to the swimming pool and garden area these rooms really allow guests to experience an idyllic holiday experience.

At the pinnacle of this hotels rooms are the Presidential Suites. These rooms are huge one could even say grand and they act as a showpiece for the hotel. The Presidential Suites contain a large entertainment area with comfortable sofas a giant flat screen TV, a very handy coffee table and a large wooden dinning table with standard seating of 8 people but this table can easily accommodate more people if need be. In a separate section is the bed room which features a huge Hollywood size bed which is very comfortable and perfect for playing games with guests on. This bed is so big it can easily fit two to six people especially if those people are small Filipinas. Inside the bedroom there is also a large flat screen TV a DVD player, carpeted floor, more than ample cupboard space a well stocked mini bar and tasteful decorations. Connected to the master bedroom is the impressive bathroom which is also large and features a Jacuzzi and a rain water shower.

The Presidential suites also feature large balconies overlooking the swimming pool and these make a great area to just sit and relax with your own private thoughts or with that someone special. The Presidential suites combine luxury and modern functionality, they are certainly a statement and arguably the best rooms in any Angeles hotel. For Angeles these rooms are certainly not cheap but when you consider what they offer and how they can be compared to their equivalent in the western world they become excellent value for money.

The swimming pool is a major attraction of the Lewis Grand and for those of us who enjoy the sunshine or relaxing in an outside tropical environment this is the best scene in Angeles. The pool is large as is the garden surrounding it and there are a series of comfortable deck chairs which guests use to recline in while they enjoy their time poolside. There are also large umbrellas which provide shelter from the elements and the entire area is serviced by the friendly Lewis Grand staff who are constantly delivering food and drink for the hotels guests. There are also two heated spa pools at either end of the pool which many customers enjoy.

As said previously the Lewis Grand is more than a hotel, it is a statement and that statement is modern functionality combined with an excellent level of comfort. The Lewis Grand Hotel is a high profile, ambitious project and truly a leader in the Angeles hotel scene offering everything one would expect from a modern day hotel and it does so at very reasonable prices. The Lewis Grand Hotel is the regular choice of accommodation for numerous AE members and has become their home away from home. Best of all the LGH offers AE members a 10% discount on Accomodation, F&B, Restaurant and even the Minibar.

Best of all the they offer all AE members a 10% discount.
