Euro Asia
Welcome to the Euro Asia hotel the newest addition to the Angeles Hotel scene. Formerly the Euro-Phil hotel this establishment has recently undergone a comprehensive overhaul and is now named the Euro-Asia Hotel.

The new owners have kept the original theme which represents an amalgamation between European and Asian style and this theme is adhered to throughout the entire hotel. This adherence to the theme makes for some interesting decorations in the hotel and although the Asian and European styles would normally clash for some reason they work well together in this hotel.

Reception

Upon entering the hotel patrons are confronted with the front reception desk over on the right side. This area as expected is the central hub of the hotel and everything flows from this point onwards.

The staff at the front desk are knowledgeable, friendly and courteous and will gladly share information about the hotel and tend to general inquiries.

The Euro Asia is a centrally located hotel with a series of rooms designed to appeal to the complete spectrum of tourists. For the budget conscious traveler there is the Standard Rooms through to the slightly better appointed Deluxe Rooms and Executive suites then onto the more expensive Premier Suite and the ultimate in comfort the Presidential Suite.

On the left hand side of the foyer is a sort of eating place where guests can enjoy a quick meal from the hotels restaurant or simply relax on the comfortable lounges.

On the far left hand side is a small restaurant/café which produces the food for the room service menu and also on a separate menu the food for customers who choose to dine in the restaurant area itself. The restaurant is more like a café and upon entering one is immediately struck with the delicious aroma of fresh coffee beans which permeates throughout this area.

The Café-Bar is named Enoteca and it is designed very much in the style of a modern European Café. The café in the main area seats approximately 20 people and there is an outside area which seats another 6 people. The outside area is directly adjacent to the main road and features comfortable cane furniture, an umbrella sun shade and a large table.

The delicious aroma of fresh coffee beans which greats you as you enter Cafe Enoteca.

The menu here is brief yet comprehensive providing a delicate balance of light European and Asian meals.

Farther left and behind the Café Enoteca is the hotels travel agency which provides a comprehensive range of services for hotel guests and patrons who walk in off the street.

On the right hand side next to the main reception desk is a beauty salon which again offers a comprehensive range of services at very reasonable prices.

Continuing through the main reception area and heading straight forward the first thing that greats you is a sliding glass doorway which marks the entrance to the long passageway that leads out to the back area of the hotel which is best described as a hidden tropical oasis

This passageway is lined with flower beds and on each side are hotel rooms up to three stories high.

The back garden area is literally like a tropical oasis with swaying palm trees, a delightful swimming pool, sun shaded areas, a Jacuzzi comfortable cane chairs centrally located pool side, an open air restaurant a gigantic conference room and a soon to open Go-Go bar Karaoke rooms and a separate dinning area. All of this is complimented by the exquisitely landscaped and maintained tropical garden setting.

The visually appealing tropical garden setting makes this area resemble a beautiful tropical oasis. The large swimming pool featuring the spraying water fountains.

There are four comfortable cane chairs all situated poolside and perfect for reclining on and soaking up the sun. In between them is a table with 4 chairs and large umbrella overhang.

The function hall is situated at the back and to the left of the main swimming pool area. The gigantic function hall capable of seating up to 200 people in one sitting.

Note the Mediterranean lattice covering the roman columns juxtaposed by the brilliant green lawn and tropical palm trees.

The central point of any hotel is the rooms and in this regard the hotel has four different types all varying in quality and price.

The lowest priced rooms are the standard rooms which are divided into twin standard with two twin beds and Queen standard with a queen sized bed. The standard rooms are aptly named as there is little flash about them and they have little or no view. These rooms are the already existing rooms from the Euro Phil hotel but they have received a fresh coat of paint, new furniture, new beds, new mod cons such as flat screen TV’s and the bathrooms have been refurbished. These rooms have special discounts for longer stays are reasonably priced and at the of the day in my opinion represent good value for budget conscious travelers.

Next is the Deluxe Room which incorporates a King Size bed and coffee table. For patrons requiring the extra bed space this hotel offers a deluxe Room with 1 king size bed and 1 single bed together with a coffee table.

On the second floor the rooms improve in quality and increase in price. The next in line is the Executive Suite which incorporates a king size bed and 1 single bed and a bath tub and a coffee table.

One step up from the Executive Suite is the Premier Suite which features a Jacuzzi. This room also incorporates 1 king size bed with 1 coffee table.

These days in the newly developed Angeles no middle to upper market hotel is complete without a Penthouse or Presidential Suite and this is well catered for in the Euro Asia hotel with their Presidential Suite with Jacuzzi. This room is divided into four separate sections. In the front section is a large bathroom with Jacuzzi next to this is a sort of lounge room are then the bedroom with a massive king size bed then a games room with a felt covered table for playing cards upon. Next to this there is a decent sized balcony which overlooks the backyard pool area. This room is on the third floor. This is a large room and very impressive with two separate air-conditioning units and a series of veils around the bed giving it the appearance of a top class bridal suite.

All rooms in this hotel have an in room safe and WiFi access is available throughout the hotel. According to the hotels General Manager the WiFi is even accessible in the Function Hall out back and the garden area.

This hotel is literally in between the Lewis Grand and the America Hotel which gives patrons easy access to Perimeter Road bars and equally access to the bright lights and ritzy bars of Field Avenue. The Euro Asia is competitively priced and offers all the necessary services required by international travelers. Another major bonus is the tastefully landscaped pool area which is in my humble opinion one of the nicest I have seen in any Angeles hotel.

This hotel is also perfect for conferences and indeed the conference market is what they are aiming for and it is hoped they will compete with the Oasis for the local and Manila based markets.

The Euro Asia is the old Euro Phil hotel but totally remodeled and yet it still maintains a very competitive pricing structure and I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.
